My first post, to match the launch of my website and the free Sam and Niko short-story that I hope all of you were able to download. If not, just pop up to that home page and subscribe to my newsletter so you can see all of the joys of parenthood, marriage, and staying in love even when shit hits the fan.
I like to keep most of my readers updated in my facebook group, Lindsey's Liaison, but I know blogs are a decent idea. It allows me to ramble, hopefully in coherent sentences, without taking up too much space on someone's dash. I don't plan to do it daily--it'll be a miracle if I can get something out monthly, but it's a good way for me to unwind all the tangled thoughts in my head.
It's been a busy month for me. I made a huge move across an entire continent, I changed coasts, and time-zones, and homes. We're exactly eleven days in our new balmy, tropical city, which I totally love--like this Spanish Moss? I'm obsessed! I have a thousand ideas, most of which came from my trip across the country, and I don't know how many will make it to the page, but hopefully a few.
For those of you who know me on a more personal level, you know I have a couple of chronic illnesses that keep me in bed more than allow me out of it, but the upheaval of my life took less of a toll on those things as I suspected, and that has been the biggest bonus of all...she says from her blanket nest because she's flaring.
In spite of my illness, though, I managed to finish a few books, start a few more, find some decent hiking spots, and unpack almost all the boxes. So I'm calling it a win.
As for the updates you're all here for, I can tell you this. I have a new Irons and Works Spin-Off series that will be coming to print sometime in early December. The book is in current trash form--that is to say it passed the alpha reader's test, and once I get a read through done, it'll be visiting my beta readers and my editor. Most of the characters from the Irons and Works books will be frequent side-characters in this series, which told me I wasn't quite ready to let them go yet.
I have a stand-alone book that I've begun--a trope voted on by my reader group on facebook, and then a much-awaited (by at least a couple people) sequel to Verismo, though I am sorry to say it won't be featuring Cedric and Nicolas as main characters. But trust me when I tell you this is necessary for now.
That's about all I have. I'm always writing, so you can always assume something new will be on the horizon, and mostly I just want to say thanks for sticking with me. I promise not to flood you with emails or newsletters too often, just when I have fun things to say or give-away, and if you want to chat more, feel free to visit me on facebook.
Until next time,
